View From the Mandarin Oriental Lobby Lounge
They charge 20 bucks a drink here at the Mandarin Oriental Lobby Lounge. The drinks are strong, so for maximum affect, do a couple tequila shots and then look at this picture.

The Bathroom at the Mandarin Oriental Lobby Lounge
Here is where the heroine of our novel has a crying meltdown in chapter one, in the bathroom at the Mandarin Oriental Lobby Lounge.

The Penninsula Rooftop Bar
A big, bad storm approaches The Penninsula Rooftop Bar. Act casual, and it might pass by. This place also charges an arm and a leg for a cocktail. You know the drill, drink up.

Rainbow
We got rained on while boozing, but we were rewarded in the end.

8:34 p.m. in New York
I was drunk already.

Very, very drunk
Traffic can be pretty when you're in the right mood.

Avenue A Sushi
Avenue A Sushi gets pretty loud and crazy on a Saturday night. Here is where our heroine hangs out a lot. Her friend Ginger bartends here.

The Old Neighborhood
I decided to check out the old neighborhood, so I wandered down at around 2 a.m. I wanted to take a better picture, but some creey dude came up behind me and said, "Nice shot," in my ear. I crossed the street after that.

The Brunch Spot
In the book, our heroine frequents Essex for brunch, which is located on, well, Essex Street. The girls do a lot of dishing over their eggs bennie with mimosas.

Where I Used to Live
This new place opened up across the street from my old apartment. I'm not sure whether I'm sorry I missed this or glad.
