Scintillating Weekend

I spent the weekend nesting. Behold. Changes are afoot.

 Above -- My wardrobe: BEFORE.

In my defense, I knew I was going to clean it out, and so I had ripped through it like a wild animal when I was looking for clothes the morning before I took this picture. This is definitely my wardrobe at its worst.

And below...

My wardrobe, After. If you look closely, you can see the difference.

And now for the bookshelf that serves as my nightstand...

Yep. Kinda sloppy.
That wire on the floor is from my electric blanket, because I am not human and therefore produce no body heat of my own.

And voila!

Notice the glass of champage on the shelf. At least I had some fun this weekend, albeit nerdy, nesting fun.

Nerdy nesting fun is one of my most favorite kinds of fun.

We gleefully and giddily reorganized our kitchen cabinets. At 8am. On Saturday morning. So that was pretty awesome.

I love that in this little comments section, we have Carrie and Not Carrie.

Carrie, it's fast becoming one of my favorite kinds as well.

Crystall, thank you. :-) Nothing like a nice pat on the back.

Tilly, that made me laugh.

Not Carrie, I decided that I need to do this without bringing anything new into the apartment. So I did a major purge, and I stole those two little chests from the living room. When I was in New York, the chest with the drawers served as my cosmetics & hair kit. I would love to be able to tell you that I no longer require such a mongo receptacle for makeup, however, we have a bathroom the size of the Oval Office, and so it all fits nicely in there.

Nesting can be very gratifying. I'm glad you had a nice weekend.
